AKJ CAPITAL S.A. becomes an investment agent of the Republic of Belarus

We are pleased to inform our clients, business partners and associates that since 14th January 2010 AKJ Capital S.A. has been an investment agent of the Republic of Belarus.
On that day, in the presence of Siergiej Sidorski, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, and Waldemar Pawlak, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Jan Waga, the President of the AKJ Capital S.A. Supervisory Board, signed agreement no. 1 concerning the investment agent.
On the same day, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus adopted Resolution No. 35 “On Granting AKJ Capital S.A. the Powers to Represent the Interests of the Republic of Belarus with Regard to the Acquisition of Foreign Investments”.
By virtue of these agreements and the decision of the Belorussian government, AKJ Capital S.A. has begun its work on the implementation of several investment projects. Meanwhile, we have done the analytical work regarding the investment possibilities in agriculture and food, timber processing, petroleum and chemicals as well as the telecom and communication sectors. We will also take an active part in the privatization process of Belorussian companies and other concerns.
Agreement no. 1 concerning the investment agent was concluded with AKJ Capital S.A. for a period of three years.

In order to facilitate our activity, we opened an AKJ Capital S.A. agency in Minsk in the Republic of Belarus last December.
